We are offering a variety of classes that cover everything musical theatre and MORE! A lot of our classes are "Act 2" extensions from the Fall, but don't let that stop you from joining in all the fun. Class content will be different from the Fall Semester, so anyone can participate!

How to Register for Classes!

For NEW My Music Staff Accounts. If you already have an account, please start at 'Step 4' after logging in!

1. Under the ‘Login To Your Account’ tab at the top of this page, Select ‘Create an Account’
2. Once you have filled in your information, you will be sent an email to confirm your account
   (Tip: You will need to connect a credit card to your account during creation for future billing. We NEVER automatically charge your card - an invoice will be sent, and you will submit payment from the connected card.)
3. Revisit the MyMusicStaff website to login to your new account!
4. From your MMS Homepage after logging in, visit the ‘Calendar’ tab on the Left Panel
5. Toggle to January 2021 and select your class and click ‘Register’ 
   Repeat if you are taking multiple classes!
6. We will send you an Invoice within 72 hours!
   (Invoices are manually created, so don't fret if you do not automatically receive confirmation.)

10-week classes begin the week January 18th. 
Classes will NOT be held the week of PSD's Spring Break - March 15th-19th. 

Register for multiple classes and receive 10% off your total!
Cancellations will result in credit to be applied toward future classes, camps, and productions. 

Monday

5, 6, 7, 8 with Abbie!

Does your student love musical theatre? Do they love shows such as Hamilton, Chicago, Wicked, Mean Girls, and others? Not only do these shows incorporate incredible singing and acting, but they also showcase some amazing dancing! This class is designed for students to get a taste of a variety of dance styles found in Broadway shows. Students will learn dance fundamentals with ballet, and expand it to jazz, contemporary/lyrical, and musical theatre dance. Get your jazz hands ready!

Monologues and Mayhem with Taylor!

Practice your monologue and dialogue skills in this fun and exciting new class! Students will create a unique story combining every actor’s individual monologues, really focusing on dialogue delivery and stage presence. This class is great for young actors looking to expand their skills on stage or in an audition. Amp up your acting skills this Fall!

The Music of Hamilton with Jalyn, Taylor, and Lincoln!

You will want to be in "The Room Where it Happens" this Spring at The Academy by Divabee!  Join our Hamilton team in learning and performing the “hits” of the incredible Broadway Sensation Hamilton, an American Musical. From  “The Schuyler Sisters” , “Guns and Ships", and “Wait for It”  this class will learn the Broadway vocal arrangements as well as some original Broadway choreography and staging from the show.

Audition Technique with Jalyn & Taylor!

This advanced class is an audition prep class for those who are interesting in learning the tricks of the trade in order to better prepare for auditions . Using the Act-Sing technique, students will prepare contrasting songs and monologues and leave this class with and audition book with 2 contrasting songs, 2 contrasting monologues, a head shot, resume and familiarity with the dance terminology most used for dance Auditions. This class is limited to 10 students.

Improv with Taylor!

Create dynamic characters in an instant while learning skills to improve character development and in-the-moment acting choices through the art of Improv. No script, no casting, no fear! Come create fun scenes while learning the art of improv!!

Contemporary Musical Theatre Dance with Susanna!

This class focuses on a hip-hop jazz fusion to explore contemporary musical theater (and all of the styles that it has begun to incorporate). Each class will begin with a full warm-up, strength training and across the floor, followed by a combination. Jessica intends to customize the class to the students enrolled, giving them an opportunity to suggest material they love. Think Hamilton, Bring It On, Legally Blonde, Moulin Rouge and more! We will push each other out of our comfort zone in a safe and joyful space focusing on creating not just dancers,  but performers.

Production and Audio Engineering with Lincoln!

Ever wonder what those engineers behind the curtain and in front of the soundboard are doing? Wonder no more! Lincoln Brandt, a professional sound engineer (and lifetime fan of pushing glowing buttons) will help students learn everything from setting up and operating sound equipment to recording and mixing for a performance. This class offers high amounts of student involvement, listening and communication skills that can help in all disciplines, and solid hands-on experience for anyone looking to get into sound production!
